Reinhardt Milam & Idol, PLLC. ("RM&I”) has been in operation since October 1, 2001. In connection with our practice, we have often asked us many of the same questions. What follows is a "FAQ" (Frequently Asked Questions) for RM&I. What happened to attorney Terry Fisher? Terry Fisher left RM&I and formed his own firm on July 1, 2011. However, he located his new office right here at the Reinhardt Building, and shares space with our firm here. Mr. Fisher’s new contact information is as follows: Terry D. Fisher, P.A., Attorney at Law RM&I used to have two staffed offices, one located in downtown Durham, and the other on Morreene Road. In March, 2005, RM&I acquired the second floor of our downtown office, which provided plenty of office space to merge all of our attorneys and personnel into one location. Directions to both our downtown offices and our unstaffed Morreene Road conference room office can be obtained from the RM&I directions page. What is the status of the RM&I Branch Office on Morreene Road? Beginning in March, 2005, RM&I expanded. The firm was able to acquire the second floor of the Reinhardt Building at 401 North Mangum Street, which provided plenty of office space to merge all of our attorneys and personnel into one location. Due to this expansion and the positive feedback surrounding our previous staffed branch office venture, RM&I decided to minimize its presence at the 921 Morreene Road location from a fully staffed branch office to an unstaffed conference room for the use of our new mobile closing initiative. The unstaffed conference room is located in the same building at 921 Morreene Road, and allows our attorneys to bring the convenience of a branch office to real estate firms throughout the Triangle area. We value our clients and truly believe that by consolidating our operation, we will be able to effectively utilize all of our resources. This will ensure that we provide the best service available to each of our clients. How do I contact RM&I? RM&I may be by contacted by telephone at either (919) 534-1200 or (919) 383-9920 (both numbers work as our main phone number). Our mailing address is P.O. The firm is made up of five lawyers: Chip Reinhardt (profile, e-mail), Martha New Milam (profile, e-mail), Dan Milam (profile, e-mail), Bob Idol (profile, e-mail) and Ruth Cohen Hammer. (profile, e-mail). Between the firm's five lawyers, we are able to handle most of our clients' needs for legal services. In the event that a client's matter calls for a referral to a lawyer outside of the firm, we have referral relationships with other attorneys whom we believe are qualified to provide representation for the client. Chip Reinhardt, who has handled real estate closings in Durham since 1976, is a North Carolina Board-Certified Specialist in both Residential and Commercial real estate law. He also conducts real property tax foreclosures for North Carolina counties and municipalities. Martha New Milam, who has been in private practice in Durham since 1987, is a North Carolina Board-Certified Family Law specialist and a Certified Mediator. Martha is available to assist clients with family law matters and general civil litigation. Dan Milam is available to assist clients with virtually any kind of real estate matter. Bob Idol is available to assist clients with estate planning, trusts and estate, estate administration, business organizations, corporations liability companies) and tax-exempt organizations. Ruth Cohen Hammer concentrates her practice on wills, trusts and estate planning. . If I was a client before October 1, 2001, where is my closed file? All real estate title files and other client files of Chip Reinhardt are in the possession of RM&I. Similarly, all legal work files of Martha New Milam, except for insurance defense cases, are in the possession of RM&I. Any closed files of James C.
